CODE OF CONDUCT
The VSFC's Code of Conduct provides guidance on
acceptable standards of behavior and how Members are to conduct themselves while
participating in VSFC activities.
VSFC Members should observe the following code of
conduct:
Members are to conduct themselves with due regard to
the rights and welfare of other Members, the Committee and members of the
public.
Members must not conduct themselves in a manner
detrimental to the reputation or to the orderly functioning of the VSFC and
its activities.
Members must not willfully damage or use without
authority the property of the VSFC or any other property used by the
Convention, its’ Committee or Members.
Members s must observe all Rules and Regulations
concerning their conduct that are made from time to time by the VSFC.
Members will acknowledge the laws of the State of
Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia and conduct themselves within
them.
VSFC Committee Members are expected to:
A committee member must act honestly, in good faith
and in the best interests of the VSFC as a whole and at all times, to comply
with the spirit, as well as the letter, of the law and with the principles
of this Code
A committee member must recognise that his or her
primary responsibility is to the VSFC’s members as a whole.
A committee member has a duty to use care and
diligence in fulfilling the functions of office.
A committee member must not take improper advantage
of the position of committee member.
A committee member must not make improper use of
information acquired as a committee member.
A committee member must properly manage any conflict
of interest that he or she may have from time to time with that of the
convention as a whole.
